Generally, Kencove does not recommend barbed wire due to the increased risk of injury to livestock and people. However, barbed wire is a viable option for predator control and exclusion fences. Our barbed wire is 15½ gauge high-tensile, Class 3 galvanized, with 4 points every 5". Class 3 galvanized coating resists rust up to 3-times longer than traditional farm store wire. Minimum breaking strength is 950 lbs. Do not electrify.
